Paul Yip BSc, PhD, FCACB, DABCC

Dr. Paul Yip is a graduate of the University of Toronto completing both his BSc and PhD degrees in Biochemistry. After completing the Postdoctoral Training Program in Clinical Chemistry also at UofT, he continued with a fellowship in the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. Since 2005, he has been with the University Health Network.
Dr. Yip's professional interests are in the areas of diagnostic assay development, laboratory quality management and point-of-care testing. He is highly engaged in educational activities which span undergraduate to postgraduate teaching and also professional development in the area of laboratory medicine. He is a course coordinator for the course LMP301H, Introduction to the Biochemistry of Human Disease, for which he won this award.
