Dr. Paul N. Williams, MD, is a physician, educator, and academic leader in internal medicine at Penn State College of Medicine and Penn State Health in Hershey, Pennsylvania. He is a Professor of Medicine, involved in patient care, medical education, and scholarly work focused on improving the practice of internal medicine. Dr. Williams completed his Doctor of Medicine (MD) at Drexel University College of Medicine and went on to complete his internal medicine residency at Temple University Hospital, where he later served as Chief Resident. Before joining Penn State, he held faculty appointments at Temple University Hospital as an Associate Professor of Medicine.

In addition to his academic and clinical work, Dr. Williams is recognized for contributions to medical education and professional development, including research on topics such as transitions of care, patient education, and mentorship in academic medicine. His scholarly publications address issues ranging from vaccination and medical education to the role of physicians in public communication and social media.

Dr. Williams is also widely known in the medical community as a co-host of the educational podcast The Curbsiders Internal Medicine Podcast, which provides evidence-based discussions and continuing education for clinicians worldwide.
