Paul S. Viviano

Paul S. Viviano joined Children’s Hospital Los Angeles as president and chief executive officer as well as a member of the Board of Trustees in 2015. Viviano has enjoyed three decades of success leading academic medical centers, for-profit health care organizations and nonprofit community hospitals.

Prior to his work at UCSD, Viviano served as chairman of the Board and CEO of Alliance HealthCare Services—a for-profit, publicly traded organization that serves as the nation’s largest provider of advanced outpatient diagnostic imaging services and a national leader in delivery of radiation oncology services. During his time at Alliance, Viviano developed the strategic vision for the organization, expanded its use of technology and enhanced overall value for investors.

Viviano is a California native and earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of California, Santa Barbara, as well as a master’s degree in public administration-public health at the University of California, Los Angeles. He and his wife, Carole, look forward to living in the greater Los Angeles area in the near future.
