Paul R. Carney, MD, FANA, FAES, FAAP, is a distinguished pediatric neurologist, epileptologist, physician-scientist, educator, entrepreneur, and academic leader with internationally recognized expertise in epilepsy, pediatric neurology, clinical neurophysiology, sleep medicine, and neuroengineering. He currently serves at the University of Missouri-Columbia and has held numerous academic and leadership positions at leading institutions, including the University of Florida and the University of North Carolina.

Dr. Carney's career spans clinical care, biomedical research, innovation, and medical education. His research focuses on epilepsy pathophysiology, seizure prediction, brain-computer interfaces, neural engineering, neuroimaging, artificial intelligence in neuroscience, and precision medicine.
