Paul Polakis PhD

Paul holds a Ph.D. in biochemistry. He retired from Genentech/Roche after nineteen years in the Department of Research. He was a Staff Scientist and Director overseeing discovery research in molecular oncology and translational research for the development of antibody-drug conjugates for cancer therapy. Prior to that, Paul was Research Director at Onyx Pharmaceuticals, where he had spent nine years supervising research on oncologic signaling pathways and small molecule drug discovery for cancer. Paul published over 120 peer-reviewed research articles and is an inventor on >600 filed/issued patents. He currently serves as a freelance consultant in the biotechnology industry.
