Paul Lanier Ogburn MD

Paul Lanier Ogburn Jr., MD is the inaugural Clinical Chief, Obstetrics and Gynecology at Sidra Medicaland Research Center. Dr. Ogburn also holds the position of Chief of Obstetrics at Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar (WCMC-Q). Dr. Ogburn is responsible for providing clinical, educational, research and general management leadership in all aspects of Obstetrics. He has over thirty years of experience in obstetrics and gynecology and a strong track record of leadership in education and research. Prior to Sidra he was atthe Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Medicine at Stony Brook University School of Medicine, New York, U.S., where he held the positions of Professor and Director, Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Director, Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship. Previously he was Head of Obstetrics at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota and a Professor at the Mayo Medical School. He hasalso held positions at Brown University, the Women and Infants’ Hospital of Rhode Island, the University of Minnesota and the University of North Carolina.
