Paul Farrell, MD, MBA, FAAP, FACC, is an attending cardiologist in the Cardiac Center at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia with expertise in congenital heart disease and fetal echocardiography.
Dr. Farrell completed his pediatric residency at the National Naval Medical Center in 1985 and his fellowship in pediatric cardiology at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in 1990. From 1990 until 2004, he served at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, as a senior pediatric cardiologist, Chairman of the Pediatric Department, Physician Leader of Women and Children's Health, and as Chief of the Clinical Staff.
Dr. Farrell also served with the U.S. Marine Corps during the Persian Gulf War. Following his retirement from the U.S. Navy in 2004 at the rank of Captain, Dr. Farrell joined the cardiology staff at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
