Paul Dimitri BSc, MBChB, FRCPCH, PhD

Prof. Paul Dimitri is an Honorary Professor in Child Health and a Consultant in Paediatric Endocrinology at Sheffield Children’s Hospital. He is also Director of Research and Innovation at Sheffield Children’s Hospital and Divisional Lead for the Division of Child Health, Genetics, Non-malignant Haematology and Reproductive Health and Child Birth at the NIHR Yorkshire and Humber Clinical Research Network. He was the Deputy Director for the Medicines for Children Research Network (East of England) and Lead for the Paediatric Studies Group for the South Yorkshire Comprehensive Local Research Network from 2012 to 2014.

Paul’s research focus is on the impact of obesity on skeletal development and the development of novel skeletal imaging modalities. He is also leading an initiative to establish a National Paediatric Health Technology Collaborative for Children in England(TiTCH – Technology Innovation Transforming Child Health) and the development of SIIRCH (The South Yorkshire Institute for Innovation and Research in Child Health).
