Paul Curley MB BCh

As a Consultant Surgeon for 23 years Paul Curley has been through 2 mergers, was involved in the design and commissioning of a new PFI bled, and has been the Clinical Tutor/Director of Medical Education, Clinical Director of Surgery, and Clinical Director of IM&T. Following centralization of Vascular Surgery for our Network he has also worked in Leeds Teaching Hospitals in Vascular/Trauma for 5 years.

He has significant experience in IT implementations in the NHS including PAS, PACS, Order communications, EDMS, and e-prescribing. As an accredited Clinical Safety Officer he has experience in IT system issue investigation and clinical safety investigation.

He is also Deputy Medical Director (Quality and Safety) with experience in Governance, Learning from Deaths, Serious Incident investigation, and Trust Board exposure.

Professionally he has been an FRCSI examiner, a member of the RCS Training the Trainers faculty, a member of the RCS Invited Review Mechanism, and has served on Keogh reviews, CQC Inspections, and NCAS reviews. He has also been involved in MHPS investigations.
