Patrick Palmer Kneeland BA, MD

Dr. Patrick P. Kneeland, MD is the Medical Director for Patient and Provider Experience at the University of Colorado Hospital and Director of Safety and Patient Experience for the University of Colorado Hospital Medicine Group. Dr. Kneeland is a graduate of the University of Colorado School of Medicine. After finishing internal medicine residency at the University of California-San Francisco (UCSF), he completed a hospital medicine fellowship at UCSF focusing on quality improvement and patient safety. He subsequently completed a health systems leadership fellowship through the Institute for Physician Leadership at the Center for the Health Professions in San Francisco, CA. Before returning to Colorado in 2013, he practiced hospital medicine and led patient safety initiatives at the Providence Regional Medical Center near Seattle, WA. At the University of Colorado, Dr. Kneeland is a founding faculty member of the Institute for Healthcare Quality, Safety, and Efficiency (IHQSE) where he facilitates the improvement of patient safety, patient experience, and the development of optimal professional work environments.
