Patrick Mchugh MD, FAWM

Dr. Patrick McHugh is a board-certified emergency medicine physician who currently works with the Cleveland Clinic Office of International Operations and as an attending in the Cleveland Clinic Akron General’s emergency rooms. He completed his residency in EM at Akron General Hospital in Akron, Ohio. He achieved his fellowship in wilderness medicine through the Wilderness Medical Society and co-founded the wilderness medicine residency track in the Cleveland Clinic Akron General’s EM residency.

He joined the WMS on their Mt. Everest Base Camp trek as well as their trip to the British Virgin Islands. He joined Wild Med Adventures in 2022 with their Galapagos Island and their 2023 Kilimanjaro trips, as well as their KY wellness course. He most enjoys traveling internationally, both with a group and going solo. While at home in Medina, Ohio, he enjoys cardio and strength training, hiking, and any outdoor adventure. We are excited to have him join our team of instructors and continue his love of teaching and adventure.
