Patrick Boon Ooi Tan MD, PhD

Prof Patrick Tan is a Professor at the Duke-NUS Medical School and Deputy Executive Director of the Biomedical Research Council. He directs the SingHealth Duke-NUS Institute of Precision Medicine. He received his B.A. (summa cum laude) from Harvard and MD Ph.D. from Stanford (Charles Yanofsky prize for Most Outstanding Graduate Thesis). His awards include the President’s Scholarship, Loke Cheng Kim scholarship, Young Scientist Award, Singapore Youth Award (twice), Chen New Investigator Award (Human Genome Organization), the President’s Science Award, and the Japan Cancer Association International Award. He is an elected member of the American Society for Clinical Investigation (ASCI).
