Dr. Garvey gained his degree from the Louisiana State University of Medicine, Houston, Texas and carried out his post-graduate training at M.D Anderson Cancer Center and the Mayo Clinic. After holding leadership positions at M.D Anderson, Dr. Garvey is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Plastic Surgery, Baylor College of Medicine in Houston Texas.
Dr. Garvey has authored a wide selection of peer-reviewed articles on reconstructive surgery specializations and contributed chapters for several published textbooks. He also regularly serves as a scientist reviewer for the US Department of Defense (DoD).
