Dr. Poole has worked within the UC Davis Health System (UCDHS) in numerous capacities over her 24 year career and has had a range of clinical practices ranging from pulmonary/critical care medicine to the ambulatory care of HIV patients. Throughout this time, she has precepted, taught and mentored pharmacy and medical students and residents. She developed a new ASHP accredited pharmacy residency program in HIV ambulatory care, where she has served as director since 2008. She is also coordinator for the UC Davis PGY-2 Pharmacy Resident in Ambulatory Care which started in 2012. She has been recognized as a Fellow of CSHP, a Board Certified Specialist in Pharmacotherapy and a Pharmacist Expert by the American Academy of HIV Medicine. She recently participated in a grant-funded program to assess the impact of a clinical pharmacist and clinical nurse in management of high risk heart failure patients at UC Davis Health System.
