Patricia Foley DVM, PhD

Dr. Foley has been with the USDA APHIS Veterinary Biologics program since 1987, for the first 15 years serving as Veterinary Medical Officer in the Virology Laboratory, then serving sequentially as Senior Staff Geneticist and Risk Manager in the Policy, Evaluation, and Licensing Section. She is responsible for risk evaluation of license applications for new live conventionally derived and biotechnology-derived veterinary biologics, and proposals to import veterinary biologics into the United States. Dr. Foley also serves as Chairperson of the National Veterinary Services Laboratories/Center for Veterinary Biologics Institutional Biosafety Committee.
