Patricia Devaux PhD

Dr. Patricia Devaux, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She is also an active faculty member in the institution’s Virology and Gene Therapy Graduate Program and serves on its education committee, contributing to advanced training in viral vector technologies and translational research.

Dr. Devaux leads a research program within the Department of Molecular Medicine focused on negative-strand RNA viruses, particularly the measles virus, and their applications in gene delivery and therapeutic development. Her work bridges fundamental virology and translational medicine, with an emphasis on engineering viral platforms for multi-gene delivery and reprogramming technologies.

In addition to her academic appointment, she serves as a principal investigator and group leader, overseeing projects that leverage measles virus–based systems for gene editing and regenerative medicine applications. Her contributions position her at the intersection of virology, immunology, and gene therapy innovation.
