Pathirage Kamal Perera MSc, MD, MPhil, PhD

Dr.Kamal Perera is a Consultant Physician and Clinical Pharmacologist at National Ayurveda Teaching Hospital, Sri Lanka and Head of the Department of Ayurveda Pharmacology and Pharmaceutics Institute of Indigenous Medicine, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. He has delivered many guest lectures and keynote speeches. Has presented and published many papers at local and international conferences and journals in areas of Pharmacology, Toxicology, Immune medicine, Traditional medicine, Ayurveda, Pharmacovigilance, Bio transformation technologies, Bio medical-clinical ethics and Medical education. Won awards for research presentations both internationally and locally for scientific publications. Received several research grants and developed a research Unit for Ayurveda products to conduct experimental studies and clinical trials in the Institute of Indigenous Medicine, University of Colombo. Supervising research of Special Degrees /Post Graduate Diploma /MSc/MD(Ayu)/MPhil/PhD readers registered at Faculty of Graduate Studies in University of Colombo, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, University of Kelaniya, University of Peradeniya, Kothalawela Defence University, Sabaragamuwa University, Institute of Chemistry and students in Institute of Indigenous Medicine, University of Colombo.
