Professor Vaiude is a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon, surgical trainer and educational innovator. He has a profound interest in education and has been involved in setting up courses and collaborating on innovative projects with Universities and industry since he was a trainee. His area of expertise is the influence of art in surgery, and in particular in regard to facial surgery. He has made advances in this field by collaborating with facial forensic anthropologists, 3D specialists, sculptors and Venetian mask makers. He has a number of innovations to his credit, including the face reconstruction mask which has been recognised internationally.
