Paromita Mazumdar

Dr Paromita Mazumdar graduated from Dr R Ahmed Dental College and Hospital, Kolkata, India, in 1996 with honors in Pharmacology and a gold medal in Orthodontics and Pedodontics. Alongside her solo private practice, she completed her masters in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics in 2003 from Dr R Ahmed Dental College and Hospital, Kolkata. She was selected for the short service commission (Army Dental Corps) and Public Service Commission(PSC) but due to personal reasons refused both appointments and joined Guru Nanak Institute of Dental Sciences and Research, Kolkata as a senior lecturer while maintaining private practice at Evershine Dental Clinic, Kolkata. Dr Paromita Mazumdar has guided postgraduate students for the last thirteen years and has been heading the Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics at Guru Nanak Institute of Dental Sciences and Research since 2017. She is actively involved in academic and co-curricular activities of the institute, specialty associations, and the Indian Dental Association(IDA). She has 63 original research publications in indexed journals, presents oral scientific papers on various platforms, and is a reviewer for the Journal of Conservative Dentistry, Journal of Pharmaceutical Research International, and the Indian Journal of Case Reports.
