Parasakthi Navaratnam MBBS, MSc, FRCpath

Professor N Parasakthi joined Monash University Malaysia in October 2006 as Professor of Medical Microbiology. Her previous appointment was as Professor and Senior Consultant Microbiologist in the Department of Medical Microbiology, University of Malaya where she also held the post of Senior Manager (Professional) of UH Diagnostics, the Laboratory Services Provider of University of Malaya Medical Centre. She was a Commonwealth Academic Staff Scholar at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine between 1983 and 1984. Her research activities are predominantly in the area of antimicrobial resistance.
