Dr. Parambir Singh Dulai is a physician-scientist with clinical expertise in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and research expertise in clinical trial methodology and design, biomarker discovery, and multi-omic multi-dimensional data integration to study immune-mediated inflammatory diseases. He completed his internal medicine residency and chief residency at Dartmouth. He then went on to complete an NIH-sponsored T32 GI research fellowship, chief fellow year, and IBD clinical preceptorship year at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD).

He joined the faculty at UCSD in 2018, and during his first year, he completed an IBD clinical trials fellowship with Robarts Clinical Trials (now Alimentiv) to study IBD-specific clinical trial design, methodology, and regulatory interactions. he was awarded an American Gastroenterology Association (AGA) research scholar award in 2019, where he was co-mentored by Lucilla Ohno-Machado and Rob Knight on data modeling and high-throughput multi-dimensional data integration. In 2022, he was recruited to Northwestern University to lead the GI Clinical Trials and Precision Medicine programs, as well as the expansion and integration of the IBD program system-wide across Northwestern Medicine. In 2022, he was awarded the Sherman Emerging Leader Prize for his excellence in patient care and medical research in IBD.
