Paolo Cariati was born in Cosenza in September 1985 (Italy). He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the Magna Graecia University of Catanzaro (Italy) with a final grade of 108/110 in July 2012. He performed his residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Hospital Universitario Virgen de las Nieves of Granada (Spain) from May 2014 to May 2019. From the beginning, He was particularly interested in head and neck oncology and microvascular reconstruction. He was awarded as the best resident of the Hospital Universitario Virgen de las Nieves de Granada and as the best resident of the Spanish Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in June 2019. He worked as a fellow in Head and Neck Oncological Surgery and Microvascular Reconstruction at the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department of Maryland University Hospital from July 1, 2019, to October 16, 2019. He is currently working at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of Albacete University General Hospital. He is particularly focused on Head and Neck Oncology and Microvascular reconstruction and He is the first author of more than 20 scientific papers in head and neck oncology and oncological reconstruction published in international journals. Moreover, he published more than 50 scientific papers in all the fields of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
