Panagiotis C. Zoidis DDA, MS, PhD

Panagiotis C. Zoidis, D.D.S., M.S., Ph.D., joined the college in April 2017 as a visiting clinical associate professor in the US Department of Restorative Dental Sciences in the Division of Prosthodontics. He will be focused on teaching and mentoring dental students in the preclinical and clinical areas, conducting research and also working in the UF Health Dental Faculty Practice.

Zoidis was born in Athens, Greece. In 1992, he earned his dental degree from the Dental School of Athens National and Kapodistrian University and, in 2009, his doctoral degree in biomaterials. In 1996 he earned his certificate in prosthodontics* and his master’s in oral biology from the Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia.

He served in the Greek Navy as a prosthodontist from 1996 to 1998. His academic experience includes serving on the faculty of the Dental School of Athens National and Kapodistrian University from 1996 through 2017. He has lectured extensively, has a diverse research background and he has a clinical focus on full mouth reconstructions, fixed and removable prosthodontics, implants, and treatment of the temporomandibular disorder, or TMD.
