Panagiota Zgoura MD

Dr. Panagiota Zgoura, senior physician of the department of nephrology and emergency at the Klinikum Dortmund- the academic teaching hospital of the University of Münster- has a reputation as an acknowledged expert on Peritoneal Dialysis (PD), a special method of renal replacement therapy.

She started her university career in the field of Internal Medicine 2003 and her specialization in Nephrology 2007 at the Universitätsklinikum Düsseldorf. After earning a doctorate in 2008 with summa cum laude, she continued to work academically in the field of Nephrology with focus on renal transplantation, renal replacement therapy and also renal artery stenosis. In 2007, she won the Young Investigator Award for an article at the Hypertension Congress in Bochum. She passed her exam as an internist in 2008 and as a nephrologist successfully in 2011. Dr. Zgoura successfully passed her exam as a specialist on hypertension the following year in 2012.
