Pamela L. Kurtzhals MD

Dr. Pamela Kurtzhals is a Board-Certified General Surgeon with expertise in the treatment of breast cancer and benign disorders. She received her medical degree in Michigan at the Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed her surgical training in Chicago at Loyola University Medical Center. She has been practicing in California since 2001. She was an integral member at Scripps Clinic Torrey Pines in the Division of General Surgery starting in 2003, serving as Division Head for many years and a key member in the development of Scripps Green Breast Center. She continues to focus on high-risk patients, management of benign breast disease, and breast cancer treatment, with a passion for oncoplastic surgical closures in breast conservation therapy

Dr. Kurtzhals’ main practice is at Genesis Healthcare’s Upas location. She remains active in the American Cancer Society and American Society of Breast Surgeons, along with being a busy mom to three sons.
