Pam Hess, MA, RHIA, CDIP, CCS, CPC, has extensive healthcare experience in revenue cycle operations, revenue integrity, HIM operations, compliance, quality control, clinical documentation programs, and provider education. She delivered and lead consulting services at Deloitte & Touché, LLC, Navigant Consulting, Inc., Himagine Solutions, Inc and Accretive Health (R1 RCM). She published Clinical Documentation Improvement: Principles and Practice for AHIMA Press. Her next CDI book, Clinical Documentation Improvement for Outpatient Care: Design and Implementation published in July 2018 by AHIMA Press.

She is currently a Vice President, Strategy & Operations with MedASTUTE Consulting, LLC, a consulting firm focused on leveraging data analytics for performance improvement with health care providers and health plans. Areas of focus include clinical documentation improvement, compliance, revenue integrity, cost management, service line management, network management & contracting, and pharmacy benefit management among other healthcare disciplines. Pam also serves as the Lead Faculty at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix Arizona for the Masters of Healthcare Informatics and Bachelors of Health Information Management programs.
