Paloma Toledo, MD, MPH is an obstetric anesthesiologist and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and the Center for Healthcare Studies at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine Dr. Toledo received her medical degree and completed her residency in anesthesiology, and obstetric anesthesia fellowship at Northwestern University. Following her clinical fellowship, she completed an Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ)-funded T32 training grant and obtained her Masters in Public Health at Northwestern.

She has since been funded by an AHRQ F32 award, received a career development award from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and currently is funded by AHRQ. Her research focuses on understanding and reducing racial/ethnic disparities in peripartum care, as well as improving the quality and safety of women delivering in the United States. She is the Chair of the Foundation for Anesthesia Education and Research (FAER) board of directors, serves on the Board of Directors for the Society for Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology, and is an Associate Editor for Anesthesia & Analgesia.
