Outi Vaarala MD, PhD

Dr. Vaarala's ultimate goal is to develop novel treatments for patients with unmet clinical needs. At Orion, she is focused on three therapy areas; oncology, nervous system diseases, and rare diseases. Her drug discovery projects include diverse treatment modalities, i.e. small molecules, biologics, and mRNA and oligonucleotides-based therapies. As an R&D Head in Orion, she enjoys strategic planning, people management, talent identification & development - and science.
