Dr. Vitolo is a neuropsychiatrist and Medical Director at Pfizer Inc. He is the Research Project Lead and Global Clinical Lead for the Huntington’s disease program at Pfizer. Dr. Vitolo is a graduate of the Medical School of the University of Rome La Sapienza, Italy, and earned a Masters in Medical Sciences from Harvard Medical School (HMS). He trained in psychiatry at Washington University in St. Louis, and in behavioral neurology and neuropsychiatry at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) and Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH).

He has been on the HMS faculty first at BWH and later at MGH, where he still holds an academic appointment. During his academic career he conducted basic research in the molecular and cellular neurobiology of neurodegenerative diseases and clinical research in the areas of Alzheimer’s disease and treatment resistant depression. Dr. Vitolo provides care to patients with neuropsychiatric disorders including neurodegenerative disorders and mood and cognitive disorders associated with neurological diseases.
