Osvaldo P. Almeida MD, PhD, FRANZCP, FFPOA

Osvaldo P. Almeida is the Professor of Geriatric Psychiatry at the University of Western Australia and Director of Research of the Western Australian Centre for Health & Ageing. He completed his undergraduate medical training at the University of São Paulo, Brazi (1986), and his Ph.D. at the University of London, UK (1993). He moved to Perth, Australia, in 1998 and has since been running a series of observational studies and randomized trials to manage modifiable risk factors for cognitive decline and depression in later life. He has been awarded numerous competitive research grants from the National Health and Medical Research Council and has over 300 publications and 3,000 citations in ISI.
