Osmin A. Zelaya is an experienced environmental remediation specialist with over two decades of expertise in water, fire, and mold restoration, as well as medically important remediation. He currently serves as President and Owner of OZ Remediation Services Inc. and as Partner and Master Instructor at Medviro, where he contributes to the development of training programs, certification standards, and instructor qualification courses.
Osmin began his career in restoration in 2002 and has since held progressively senior roles, including Lead Technician, Project Manager, Branch Manager, and Director of Environmental at Anderson Group International. Throughout his career, he has led complex remediation and emergency response projects, including mold and sewage remediation, fire and water damage mitigation, and medically important investigations.
He has extensive experience in project management, budgeting, quality control, and team leadership, along with strong technical expertise in leak detection, structural drying, and environmental assessment. Osmin is also proficient in industry-standard tools such as Xactimate and has a proven track record in mentoring teams, improving operational efficiency, and building relationships with industry stakeholders.
Osmin holds multiple certifications from the IICRC, including Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT), Fire and Smoke Damage Restoration Technician (FSRT), Odor Control Technician (OCT), Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT), and Applied Structural Drying Technician (ASD). He also holds a certification in Medically Important Remediation (MIR) from CIRSx.
