Osman Abbasoglu PhD

Dr. Osman Abbasoglu is a Professor of Surgery. He was born in Ankara and received an M.D. degree from Hacettepe University in 1984. His general surgery training was conducted at the same university. He completed a clinical transplantation fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center, Dallas. He served as the Director of the Nutrition Support Team of Hacettepe University between 1997-2010 and as Director of the Clinical Nutrition Master’s Degree Program. He has published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles and 12 book chapters mainly on nutrition and hepatopancreatobiliary surgery. He is currently associate editor in Clinical Nutrition. He was the president of the Turkish Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition Society (KEPAN) between 2019-2021 and is currently president of the Adriatic Club of Clinical Nutrition.
