Mr Aziz trained at St. Mary's Hospital Medical School where he obtained his MBBS degree in 2000. He undertook specialist colorectal training in the North-West London deanery programme and went on to complete a PhD at Imperial College London in 2008.
He secured the FRCS exam in 2011 and undertook a high volume laparoscopic (Ethicon) colorectal fellowship at St. Mark's Hospital (Harrow, London) in 2012, followed by a fellowship there in intestinal failure, inflammatory bowel disease surgery, inherited cancers and polyposis, recurrent cancer, restorative proctocolectomy, and coloproctology.
