Oluwatpsin A. Adaramoye

Oluwatpsin Adaramoye became a Faculty Member at the Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, University of Ibadan, Nigeria on the 9th of April 1998. Presently, He is a Professor of Biochemistry since October 1, 2015, and, Head of the Department since August 1, 2022, till date. His research interest is in the field of Molecular Drug Metabolism and Toxicology with a special interest in Drug Discovery and Development from natural products. He has studied the antioxidative and free radical scavenging effects of some indigenous phytochemicals (Artocarpus altilis, Curcuma longa, Cocos nucifera, Garcinia kola, Xylopia aethiopica, Calliandra portoricensis, etc) in both in vivo and in vitro experiments. In functional experiments, l have studied the underlying mechanism of cardiovascular effects of kolaviron, a biflavonoid complex from Garcinia kola.
