Olivier Dupuy initially trained in "Education and Motricity" in the STAPS sector at the University of Limoges as well as at the IUFM of Limoges, Olivier continued his studies in the "Sports Training" sector at the University of Limoges and that of Bordeaux. Subsequently, he followed the IRHPM master's degree ( Master APAS – IRHPM ) at the University of Poitiers and headed for a joint thesis between the University of Montreal and Poitiers. After obtaining his doctorate, he carried out a post-doctorate at the Perform Center of Concordia University (Canada), during which he carried out research projects at the Montreal Geriatric Institute and at the Heart Institute in Montreal.

Olivier Dupuy's research projects revolve around two main axes: optimizing training by improving our knowledge in the prevention of overtraining as well as in the optimization of recovery. Olivier is also interested in the psychophysiological joints involved in human motor performance and in particular in the relationships between certain neurophysiological mechanisms (cerebral oxygenation/autonomic nervous system) and our cognitive performance. In this sense, he is studying the effects of training on these mechanisms in healthy elderly people or those suffering from cardiovascular and/or respiratory pathologies.
