Olivier Bugnon PhD

Prof. Olivier Bugnon, born in 1964 (Fribourg, Switzerland), graduated as a pharmacist from the University of Lausanne in 1988. He obtained his PhD in Neuropharmacology from the University of Geneva (1994) and his postgraduate FPH title of Specialist in Community Pharmacy (2003).Since 2002, he is Head of the community pharmacy and Quality manager at the Department of Ambulatory Care and Community Medicine (PMU) in Lausanne.Since 2007, he is an Associate Professor, Head of the Unit of Community Pharmacy Practice at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (University of Geneva, University of Lausanne); he is responsible in particular of the last year of the Master's degree in Pharmacy (incl. period of practice training). In 2011, he is appointed by the Federal Council as member of the national committee for the State examination in Pharmacy according to the Federal law on the medical professions (LPMA d). Since 2012, he is a founder and member of the Management Board of a start-up (SISPha SA) aiming to facilitate the integration of collaborative pharmacy services in routine practice. An official agreement has been concluded between SISPha SA and the Dpt. of Ambulatory Care and Community Medicine (PMU) to minimize this conflict of interest.
