Olivier Bonny is a physician-scientist who studied medicine and earned a MD-PhD at the University of Lausanne (Prof. B.C. Rossier). He subsequently completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Texas in Dallas on renal calcium reabsorption and mineral metabolism. He joined the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology in December 2007, was appointed SNF-assistant professor in 2011 and associate professor in 2017.
In parallel, Dr Bonny completed his clinical training as a nephrologist at the University Hospital Bern and hold the Swiss Board certifications (FMH) in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology. He is attending physician at the Division of Nephrology of the Lausanne University Hospital, where he is leading the outpatient clinic for nephrolithiasis and is coordinating the clinic for renal genetic diseases.
