Prof. Dr. Oliver Meissner, MBA has set itself the goal of making the complex interaction of man, nature, and technology comprehensible. The people and their physical and mental health are always the focus of his considerations.

Oliver Meißner studied human medicine at the Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich. After completing his doctorate, training as a specialist in diagnostic radiology, and his habilitation, he switched to medical technology at Siemens Healthcare. In 2012, he was appointed full professor for healthcare management at Steinbeis University, where he headed the Medical Innovations and Management Institute until 2022. In 2021, he took on the role of deputy chairperson on the national committee for "Healthcare Organization Management" at DIN, which he also represents at ISO. Since 2015, Oliver Meißner has also been the academic director of the JR OP Academy.

His work is based on the methodological approach of competency-based learning. This results in innovative, hybrid products Training concepts for medical professionals, interactive learning units for students, and university education formats.

With the founding of Officinae Mentis, a think tank for new learning has emerged, which supports healthcare institutions and the healthcare industry in the digital transformation of their learning content.

As a board member of the non-profit Planet Bambi Foundation, Oliver Meißner is involved in the implementation of competence-oriented teaching programs that aim to convey a holistic view of the human-nature-technology system.
