Olga Selifonova

Olga Selifonova is the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Reluceo Holdings LLC since 2013. Prior to current position, Olga served as CEO of Reluceo Inc. and XLTerra, Inc. (2009-2013), Minnesota-based VC-backed green chemistry companies dedicated to development of renewable and degradable polymers. Prior to Reluceo and XLTerra, Olga and Sergey co-founded Segetis, Inc., a company developing levulinic ketal-based products, and served as Segetis' vice president of corporate development (2007-2009). With more than 30 years of diverse biotechnology experience Olga has held research positions at Cargill's Biotechnology Development Center in the area of metabolic engineering, Genencor International in Palo Alto, where she contributed to molecular evolution efforts and to the collaborative 1,3-propanediol project between DuPont and Genencor, at the University of Minnesota, the U.S. EPA, the Penn State University, and at the Shemyakin - Ovchinnikov Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry, USSR Academy of Sciences. Olga has first-hand experience with the development of bio-based industrial chemicals such as 1,3-propanediol, 3-hydroxypropionic acid and levulinic ketals.
