Oksana Kehoe PhD, MSc

Oksana Kehoe is a Lecturer in Biosciences & Head of Rheumatology Research laboratory at Keele University School of Medicine and ISTM at RJAH Orthopaedic Hospital, Oswestry. Oksana received her M.Sc in Immunology and PhD in Biochemistry from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Ukraine and joined Keele University in 2006. She was working under Professor Jim Middleton’s supervision until he moved to the University of Bristol in 2010.

Oksana’s research interests at RJAH Orthopaedic Hospital evolved into therapeutic potential of mesenchymal stem cells in rheumatoid arthritis and role of syndecan-3 in inflammation. Dr Kehoe was funded by the Orthopaedic Institute. Oksana is a tutor for Problem-Based Learning, Professional Development (PDT) at Keele University School of Medicine, providing academic and pastoral support to students in preclinical years.
