Ohad Amit MD, PhD

Ohad Amit, PhD, is senior director and head of clinical statistics for oncology at GlaxoSmithKline. Dr Amit has worked as a statistician within the pharmaceutical industry for the last 25 years supporting drug development projects in multiple therapeutic areas. Prior to taking on his current role Dr Amit was the head of clinical statistics within the infectious diseases therapy area at GSK. Dr Amit assumed leadership of the clinical statistics group supporting infectious diseases in 2012 where he focused on new approaches for the development of anti-bacterials within GSK and beyond. Dr Amit has provided leadership to the oncology group since 2001 and has led the clinical statistics group through multiple successful submissions. Dr Amit has been involved in the design and implementation of several adaptive trials in both the oncology and infectious diseases therapeutic areas including basket studies and platform trials.
