Nyasha George MD, FAAFP, AAHIVS

Dr. Nyasha K. George, MD, FAAFP, AAHIVS, is a board-certified Family Medicine physician and Assistant Professor at Thomas Jefferson University in the Department of Family and Community Medicine, practicing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She provides comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages, emphasizing patient-centered, evidence-based medicine and long-term health management.

Dr. George earned her medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine, graduating in 2013, and completed her residency in Family Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals. She also completed advanced training through the Jefferson Primary Care/Family Medicine fellowship program. Her clinical practice includes managing acute and chronic illnesses, preventive care, and conditions such as low blood pressure, chronic pain, opioid use disorder, and type 2 diabetes. She’s known for her holistic approach to family medicine and dedication to health education. Dr. George is fluent in English and currently accepts new patients, offering both in-office care and telehealth appointments.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. George is engaged in academic medicine as core faculty within the Jefferson Health Family Medicine Residency Program and contributes to clinical research, including peer-reviewed publications on topics like dermatological issues in pregnancy.
