Nupur Kapoor Nerurkar is an ENT surgeon, who graduated in 1994 from KEM Hospital with a first rank in Bombay University. She was awarded the Hargobind Fellowship for Laryngology training in 2003, which she received at Vanderbilt University Medical Centre. She was also a visiting scholar at Harvard University and Mount Sinai Medical Center that year. Following this she initiated a Voice Clinic at Sion Hospital, where she was an Associate Professor at that time.
Since 2004, she has been practicing exclusively as a Laryngologist and is currently heading the Bombay Hospital Voice & Swallowing Center. Dr. Nerurkar is also the ENT DNB Co-ordinator, Director of the Laryngology Fellowship program, and Course Director of the Annual Phonosurgery Workshops at Bombay Hospital. She is a past President of the Association of Phonosurgeons of India (APSI) and on the Governing Council. Nupur is the Chief Editor of the “Textbook of Laryngology” – The official Textbook of APSI and has authored an “Atlas of Phonomicrosurgery”. She has over 100 publications and book chapters to her credit and has delivered over 250 presentations in India and Abroad.
Dr. Nerurkar is a fellow of the American Broncho-Esophagological Association, the American Laryngological Association, Founder and Board member of the International Association of TransVoice Surgeons, and Executive Committee member of the International Association of Phonosurgeons. She has been voted as Mumbai’s Top Doctor in Voice Category each year since its inception. Nupur is focused on Phonomicrosurgery, Neurolaryngology, Laser surgeries for early glottic cancer, and pitch alteration surgeries.
