Nuhad K. Ibrahim MD

Dr. Nuhad Ibrahim is a Medical Oncologist specializing in breast cancer treatment at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Since completing his Medical Breast Oncology fellowship at MD Anderson cancer center, he joined the Breast Medical Oncology staff and continues to practice an active role in the department up to date. Besides leading a bustling clinic, Dr. Ibrahim is involved in patient care; he developed a worldwide reputation among oncology colleagues and created a vast referral base. Their main career path, for him, is clinical and translational breast cancer research. He is involved in drug development and led many Phases! -III clinical trials.

Dr. Nuhad Ibrahim's research interests also focused on immunotherapy in breast cancer, particularly in breast cancer vaccine development. In addition, he invests a great deal of his time in studying the natural history of metastatic breast cancer in the Brain, its risk factors, and the best modalities of treatment as well, as potential approaches that may lead to its prevention. Identifying patients at high risk of brain metastasis became a focal point of his research, as it carries potential development of prevention strategies. In addition, Immunol profiling of metastatic brain lesions and their microenvironment, as well as its genomic profiling, is a current focus of his research emphasis.
