Dr. Nour Sneige is a renowned breast pathologist and a cytopathologist. She began her academic career at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in 1981. During her tenure, she assumed several administrative responsibilities, chief among them, Breast Surgical Pathology Consultation Service, Director of Her-2 FISH Lab, and Chief of the Section of Cytology. Dr. Sneige has also participated as the principal investigator or collaborator on 34 investigations, primarily centered-around issues related to breast and HPV testing.

Dr. Sneige has received a number of honors including the Papanicolaou Society Fellowship Award, the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology Recognition Award, and Best Doctors, America’s Registry of Outstanding Professionals, the Houston Society of Clinical Pathologist Harlan J. Spjut Award, and the Kamal Ishak Award, IAP, Arab Chapter. Dr. Sneige has authored more than 295 peer-reviewed publications, 28 invited articles/editorials and 25 book chapters, and has also provided service on the Editorial Board of eight journals. Dr. Sneige has lectured countless times at other institutions and various local, national, and international venues on breast and cytology issues.
