Norain Karim MBBS, MPath, FRCPA, FRCPath, IFCAP, MIAC, FAMM

Dr. Norain Karim received her Master of Pathology (Anatomical Pathology) from the University of Malaya in 1988. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists United Kingdom, Royal College of Australasia, an International fellow of the College of American Pathologists, and a member of the International Academy of Cytology. At present, she is the Vice President of the International Academy of Pathology Malaysian Division, dedicated to promoting the advancement of Pathology through educational exchanges. She was a former Chief of Pathology Services, Ministry of Health Malaysia from 2005 to 2010. Under her headship, she has provided high-level expert advice to the Ministry of Health Malaysia and had played a crucial role in the planning and development of pathology services. She is currently the consultant pathologist and Head of Pathology Department of Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun Ipoh, Perak Malaysia. Her special interests are Dermatopathology, Infectious disease pathology, and Digital Pathology.
