Dr. Noel Oliveira is a certified wound specialist physician that treats difficult non-healing wounds through the use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy and other advanced wound care modalities. Dr. Oliveira opened the first wound care center in the Rio Grande Valley; he has dedicated over 21 years of his practice to hyperbaric medicine and wound care treatment. He is a certified Hyperbaric Technologist and a member of the American College of Hyperbaric Medicine. Dr. Oliveira is board certified by both the American Academy of Wound Management and the American College of Certified Wound Specialists. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Oliveira is a member of the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association, and the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society. He is past president and current executive board member of the Hidalgo-Starr County Medical Society. Dr. Oliveira is the co-founder and past president of the Rio Grande Valley Diabetes Association as well as the co-founder and chairman of the Diabetes and Obesity Committee at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance. Dr. Oliveira conducted his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy. He went on to receive his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. Dr. Oliveira conducted his Family Practice residency training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
