Dr. Nitin Burkule is a senior cardiologist, with a vast amount of experience in echocardiography, embellished with innumerable research studies, conference participation, and teaching posts at various hospitals to his credit. He obtained his basic medical degrees and post graduation from Seth G S Medical College and K E M Hospital in Mumbai. While doing his residency at K E M Hospital, Dr. Burkule also had teaching posts in General Medicine and Intensive Care. He obtained his Cardiology super specialty qualifications in the mid-1990s at Grant Medical College, which is attached to the J J Hospital in Mumbai. During these years he held several teaching posts, in varied subjects of medicine including cardiology. Dr. Burkule currently teaches echocardiography to students appearing for the post-graduate diploma in clinical cardiology at the India Gandhi National Open University
Dr. Burkule's varied experience in the field of cardiology was further enhanced when he worked as fellow-in-training at Schneider Children's Medical Centre of Israel in the area of pediatric cardiology, at the turn of the century.
When he can set time aside from his busy and successful cardiology practice, Dr. Burkule makes it a point to participate as a speaker, lecturer and presenter at national and international Cardiology conferences, especially those covering the area of Echocardiography. He has collaborated along with his colleagues on several research studies, which have been published in international medical journals and also presented at conferences worldwide.
Dr. Burkule currently heads the Echocardiography Department at Jupiter Hospital in Thane, where he serves as a Consultant Cardiologist. He also has his own consulting rooms nearby.
