Nishele Lenards graduated from radiography school at Akron City Hospital/University of Akron (now Summa Health System) in Akron, OH in 1990 and then graduated from Aultman School of Radiation Therapy in Canton OH a year later in 1991. She worked as a radiation therapist in Findlay OH before moving to Minneapolis in 1992. She worked with some world-renown physicians and physicists at the University of Minnesota Medical Center. Transitioning to on-the-job training in medical dosimetry, her supervisor was Dr. Faiz Khan... the physics guru that most individuals in radiation oncology learn from while reading his textbooks. She became certified in medical dosimetry in 1995.
Nishele Lenards earned her Bachelor of Science (Health Arts) degree from the University of St. Francis in 1999 while working as a Manager in Radiation Oncology. Later, as She transitioned to academia, She attended the University of Wisconsin - Stout to earn a Master of Science in Education degree. Her focus was on educational technology and e-learning. She graduated in 2007 and then completed an e-learning & online teaching certification program in 2008 at UW-Stout. She completed her Ph.D. in Education (educational technology & e-learning) at Northcentral University in 2017. Her dissertation research was a qualitative multiple-case study about student perceptions of multimodal (text plus screencast) instructor feedback in online learning.
It is a privilege to serve as the Director and instructor for the UW-La Crosse Medical Dosimetry Program. Having developed this program from the ground-up (since 2003), She is very passionate about growth and very proud of the learner's achievements. Teaching bestows upon me an opportunity to share my enthusiasm for medical dosimetry. It is her passion to inspire students to greatness.
