Dr. Kshirsagar is currently the National Chair of Clinical Pharmacology, ICMR, New Delhi, Founder President of, the South Asian chapter of the American college of clinical Pharmacology, Member of WHO Committees on Product development, Drug statistics Methodology, Scientific Advisory Committee of DNDI, Chairperson and member of FDEC Board, Chairperson DTAB subcommittee for Fixed Dose Combinations, Member DTAB (Drug Technical Advisory Board), Chairman core training Panel PvPI Govt. of India, Fellow of Royal College of Physicians, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine UK and Fellow of American College of Clinical Pharmacology, USA. Fellow of the National Academy of Science, Fellow of National Academy of Medical Sciences India.

Dr. Kshirsagar was the former acting Vice-Chancellor at the State Health Science University. She was also Dean Director of medical education and research, and Prof. Head of Clinical Pharmacology at G.S. Medical College KEM Hospital, Parel, Mumbai, and at T. N. Medical College BYL Nair Hospital, ESI PGIMER MGM, Mumbai, President of the Indian Pharmacology Society and Infectious Disease Society, India, Chairman Academic Committee AIIMS. Delhi Govt. of India, Delhi.

Dr. Kshirsagar has won many awards e.g. University topper, gold medalist, B.C. Roy National Award, Vasvik Award for industrial research, developing and patenting liposomal drug delivery system, Mayor’s award three times. Dr kshirsagar has published over 200 publications featuring in the Lancet, Lancet Global Health, Lancet infectious diseases, British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, The American Journal of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, and WHO publications on the safety of Medicines in public Health and pediatrics, among others. Some of her areas of expertise include; clinical trials, pharmacovigilance, drug development, tropical diseases, drug resistance, and medical education.
